Image Tools
Clean up artwork for print: remove backgrounds, tighten edges, and save a new transparent PNG without changing the original.
Quick summary
- Remove Color clears a sampled color (connected region or all matching pixels), with optional fringe cleanup and a fix-up brush.
- Smart Transparency removes a clean white plate and saves a new gallery image (owners only).
- Edge Refinement contracts soft edges and can add a subject contour on transparent art.
- Save always stores what you see as a new image. The original file is never overwritten.
Where to open it
- Your gallery — use the Tools chip on an image you own.
- Public shop pages — visitors can try edits, download a PNG, or try the art on products. Full-resolution originals stay with the creator.
Remove Color
- Click the artwork or a palette swatch to sample a color.
- Adjust Tolerance and choose Connected or All matching.
- Optionally enable Clean edges to clear color fringe.
- Click Remove selected color, or use the Erase / Restore brush for small fixes.
- Hold the compare control to peek at the original. Save as copy when you are happy.
Smart Transparency
Best for artwork on a solid white plate. It runs on the server, saves a new transparent PNG, and leaves the original unchanged. For colored or photo backgrounds, use Remove Color instead.
Local edits must be saved or reset before Smart Transparency can run.
Edge Refinement
Available when the image already has transparency. Contract soft fringe and optionally add a black or white subject contour. Apply keeps the edit in the session; Save as copy writes the preview you see.
